Anyone else wonder why Bed Bath & Beyond even bothers sending out those 20% off coupons? Why do they even bother? I no longer ever shop there without a coupon. There have been numerous times when my wife and I would be at the store, realize we forgot our coupons, so we put all the stuff in the cart back on the shelves, and gone home. In my opinion, they should make the entire store 20% less. I guess they've dug themselves in a hole and can't go back.

I think those coupons provide an "illusion of bargain", and now they can't take it back. Also, Linen 'n' Things provide those tickets, so if BB&B stop doing that they'd be at a disadvantage? 2. Guest Useri have seen the register just yank out an extra coupon from underneath to apply - you may just have to ask at the store, if you forget your coupon. 3. BoscorelliI actually have thought about that and asked before. They told me to just bring back the receipt...which is kind of dumb, because then I still need to make two trips to the store. 4. IppTakI think the similar is true at Shaw's (Stop&Shop, CVS, Brooks, etc.) with those discount cards. Do they really mean anything? I know they are supposed to have me returning to the same store, but I have a card for every store in my neighborhood. When I went down to DC and didn't have a card for Giant, I just asked the lady at the register. No problem...again...what's the point? 5. big papiIt's really dumb, but it probably brings them a lot of business. So I dunno. I keep those coupons in my glove compartment in my car so I always have them. 6. Guest UserThe card keeps track of yearly discounts and stuff. 7. IppTakGood point. Those cards are actually analyzing our shopping patterns and habits. Market basket analysis, right? |
