Manny will be Manny.  And I know he likes to break stride just to tip his helmet off.  But would it be too much for him to wipe off his pine tar ridden disgusting lid before next season.  There used to be a "B" under there somewhere.  Its a bit of a disgrace at this point.

That is something he learned from Trot Nixon. It is part of the Trot Dirt Dawg persona. It's kinda like those guys on the Rockies who wear the hats crooked. No real reason, just kind of a "look". It is definitely against MLB rules. Those logos are supposed to be visible and I believe that they get fined all the time but they continue to do it anyway. I remember seeing some Angels (Vlad, I think) doing the same thing. Manny is definitely not alone here so we shouldn't get all up in his.

manny being manny... the dirt dog thing doesn't bother me so much, but the dramatic helmet flip gets old real fast. especially when he's tagged out at the plate...

His home run antics are kind of embarrasing too. I feel like a jerk supporting him when he pulls that shite.

Agreed on both points. Don't showboat your homerun just because you're a "bad man" and don't flip the helmet. We won in spite. Only one more year of his antics. I think I can take it.

I thought the whole dirt dogs thing went out the window with J Damon and his crappy beard. If Manny was in the NFL they would have a field day with his "look" on the field. I think MLB should clean up his act
