I live in Sturbridge and commute on Mass Pike.  Have you guys noticed those humongous cell phone towers that are meant to look like trees?

I think the intention is good, but I think those things are very ugly.  I mean…did they think they could fake people by painting these trees brown and with fake leaves?  It’s not like the fact that the “tree” is 200 feet and 4 times as tall as the one next to isn’t a big give away.

I don't know, bro. Those things are ugly, but those steel beams are a lot uglier.

...but, yes, those darn things are pretty darn obvious. Needs more effort.

I don't notice them on 90. Maybe they are doing their jobs of disguising.

This is so tree biased. This is tarnishing the image of "steel."

In the city, if you want to plant a tree, maybe we should make them look like a steel antenna. You know...just to be fair.

By that theory, we should make all those lampposts fake trees too! You know...just to be fair to the...steel lampposts (those who want to dress up).

I'd rather look at a fake tree than a cell tower. I think they stick out less. Yeah, they still stick out pretty bad, but I appreciate the effort they're putting into it. HOpefully fake tree technology continues to improve.
