So, just last week, they were all going crazy about the Tobin Bridge being cracked and too old to support the heavy traffic.  OK, check!  Thanks for letting me know. OK...now what?  I haven't heard anything since from the media.  Is it cool now?  Did it miraculously fix itself?  Did the bridge just need a little rest from the daily grinds?

...or was it just some crazy media hype, a knee-jerk reaction from the one in Minneapolis?

What is with the construction at Kenmore?  When they started constructions, one of their driving points was to have it ready for the exciting RedSox season of 2007!  Yes, they were slated to open for the season opener of RedSox 2007 season.  MBTA claimed that RedSox deserves a great looking station t show off to the world, and look now!  It's put together with cardboards, caged fences outlining the underground paths, and the darn paths are leaking with rain water!

The latest news is that they will open in November of 2007.  Well...I seriously doubt the feasibility of that. 

Wow, what can I say?  What were they thinking when they named this organization?  Didn't anyone notice the awkward acronym that reminds us of a female undegarment?  Noticing that they actually refer to themselves as "BRA", I assume they are very proud of this clever naming scheme.  I mean...did someone think this was hilarious when he though to fit?  Was someone so naive that it was a cute sounding phrase?  I just don't get it.

I take the Express Bus to work, and, in the morning, I get on it on an earlier stop. Try to imagine how the seats fill up.  There are a bunch of two seater benches.  At first, one person sits in each bench.  Then once there is a person on every bench, people start to take up the second of the two-seaters, right?

 Well, I absolutely hate people who sit on the inside of the two seats (towards the aisle) just so there is more chance that no one will sit next to them.  They make people ask them to move over, and they always give that nasty glance.  Who the heck do they think they are?! 

Do people notice this?  If you notice these jerks, please take note!  If you do this stuff, we are catching on to you, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

What's with that beautiful park in front of the Museum of Science?  When wil it ever open?  I see it every day from the Green Line, and it always has those stupid fencing around them. I am running out of patience.  I did do a little research, and look what I found:

Alright, let me get this out.  In fact, I am sure this isn't limited to bus 57, but that's the one I ride on.  These buses are supposed to come every 6~7 minutes.  Are you frickin' kidding me?  There is no way this is true.  I generally wait at least 10 minutes, sometimes 20 minutes.  ...and of course, when one shows up, it is completely full, and most of the time I can't get on.  Then I wait another 10 minutes, then LOOK!!  THREE OF THEM SHOW UP IN A ROW!

Another gripe that I have is that there is NO WAY that there are as many buses on the streets as they say there are.  I honestly don't think there are enough buses to cover all the scheduled stops.  Nope, there's no way.

When I get laid off from my work for being late too many times, I plan to sit outside my house at a bus stop and actually count the # of buses.  I am extremely curious as to what I find out. 

Did I hear that there will be another price hike for MBTA?  Apparently MBTA's debt is now 8.1 Billion Dollars, and they are faced with another decision to take out loans farther putting them in the hole or...get this...increase the fare by 38%.  This means that a T ride will increase to $2.35, and this is on top of the recent hike from 1.25 to 1.75.  Oh, my gosh, I still remember when the T was $0.75.  (I also remember when the gasoline was $0.79/gallon, but that's a whole another story.

So I'm driving home the other day, listening to WBZ's traffic on the 3's.  You know how they have "Joe Morgan and the BZ copter".  Well, apparently sometime in the last few weeks it changed to "Joe Morgan and the Commerce Insurance BZ copter."!!!!!  What, did Commerce Insurance build the helicopter?  Is that what we are supposed to believe?????

I've never been a fan of big corporations buying naming rights to things, but it's getting ridiculous.  Everything has some corporate sponsor now.  When they play a replay on TV it's the "Chevy Trucks" replay or something.  Lojak has their "Caught stealing" thing during red sox games (at least that one is clever).  

What's next? Are they going to start buying naming rights to every day objects?

Ok, so I pull up to a 4-way stop sign at the end of my street.  I had to turn left.  Just before I get there and stop, another car pulls up the the intersection coming from the right.  Now, normally he'd have the right of way, right?  Since he got there first.  Only this time, there was a pedestrian crossing the street in front of him, so he couldn't go.  So I figured he's stuck there for a few more seconds, so I'll just go.  Make sense, right?

So, I go, I turn left, a few seconds later his pedestrian clears and he goes, so he's now following me.  And what does he do next?  He turns on his friggin high beams at me!  what the hell is that about?  Was he planning on running down the pedestrian crossing the road in front of him, just to get ahead of me?  What a jerk.

Sorry everyone I know this story probably seems stupid but this stuff really gets to me.
