Why do so many people hate skateboarders? 

I'd rather have these kids practicing their moves in public parks than have them doing crack in the alleys. They have a place to go, people to hang out with, and goals to accomplish.  They are getting out, getting exercises, and staying out of trouble.

 I say let them be!  Encourage the skateboarders!

I guess John Henry needs a little more cash to put some gas in his little dinghy at Rowe's Wharf...

Upper bleachers, standing room, Conigliaro’s Corner: no change in price.

Lower bleachers: increase from $23 to $26

Outfield grandstand: increase from $23 to $26

Infield grandstand, right field box, right field roof box: increase from $45 to $50

Left field pavilion box seats (new): $75

This is really ridiculous.  The tickets are already pricey enough, not to mention impossible to get.  This just means the scalpers will be able to charge that much more. 

While they're at it, maybe they could look into raising the price of a beer in Fenway a few bucks.  I don't feel like I'm getting gouged enough when I go to a game.  Thanks guys!

I know this seems kind of a trivial rant but...  good lord, can we please find another way to describe controversy!?  Everything is "Something-gate" nowadays.  The latest is "Ballgate" -- the mystery of the missing world series ball...  Earlier we had "Cameragate" (or "Spygate") for the Pats...

Look.  It was kind of funny the first few times it was used.  But...  it's dead now.  Stop beating the dead horse. 

You'd think that "professional" journalists could come up with something a little more creative.  Watergate was decades ago. Are we going to still be calling things "Something-gate" in another 40 years?  100 years?  come on.  Lets get creative people.

God, people, learn to use a hyphen, please!  On Boston.com there is a picture of Jason Varitek holding a "Resign Lowell" sign.  what does that mean?  does tek want Mikey to resign?  Has no one else picked up on the irony in this?  Theo's gonna get the wrong idea!!!  Red Sox nation should be panicking!!!!

On a  side note, I f-ing LOVE mike lowell.  If boston lets him go I'll be devastated.  I'll be even more devastated if they replace him with a-fraud.  I might stop watching the sox if they do that.

Why is everyone so up in arms about this?  Last time I checked, football was a competitive sport.  What do you want?  Should the NFL call games once one team gets 35 points ahead?  

If you don't want them scoring 52 points on you, then stop them from scoring 52 points on you.  If you can't stop them, then you lose big.  Thats the name of the game.

With the salary cap in place, you can't argue that they're being unfair, since ostensibly all the teams are on a level playing field.  So stop whining.

It really should be on a weekend.  Who can go on a weekday other than college students?  The rest of us either have to work, or are kids who will be in school.

All fine and dandy if you work anywhere near the parade route, but hello, most of us don't.  And I'm not going to skip a day of work to watch the duck boats go by.  I seem to remember it being on a Saturday last time, could be wrong though.

Also, doesn't it coincide with Free Taco Day!?!?!?!  That is a travesty.  If there are any Taco Bells along Boylston Street, I feel bad for you guys.  You are gonna get hammered with 30,000 red sox fans all demanding their free tacos.  Good luck.  I'll be at work, thanks.

I don't think I am the only idiot who hasn't learned Japanese yet, but it bugs me a little how I have no idea what those apparels say that have Japanese on them.  I am all for it, and they look cool, but I cant help it to worry that it may say something completely inappropriate on it. 

Picture this: I'd be walking down the street, some Japanese woman would scream and run away,  Then she reappears a few minutes later with a policeman because my shirt apparently says, "I do little boys before breakfast." 

I mean, do the TV stations know if we were wearing or holding up a sign that was completely inappropriate?  I am sure it's been done in the past, but we are in the age where our MLB games are being broadasted in Japan.  What if I were holding up a sign that read...well, you know...something offensive to the Japanese?
