Consecutive driving WTF's this morning |

I'm on my way to work this morning, making a left turn on green, waiting for a break in oncoming traffic. I wait patiently. Finally there is a nice big break in the traffic, with a white PT Cruiser approaching but very far away, so I start to go forward.
As I'm doing this, holy crap, the guy in the PT Cruiser guns it towards me. I didn't know a PT Cruiser could accelerate that fast. This guy was definitely trying to hit me, or scare me, or something. So fine, I hit the brakes and let him go. As he drives by I notice two things:
1) the guy is giving me the "WTF?" gesture. you know, the one where you hold your hands up in the air in a sort of "what the F are you doing" gesture. This after HE tried to plough into ME.
2) The car is an NSTAR car! it said NSTAR in big letters on the side. Why is NSTAR buying PT cruisers now? They are pieces of junk. They should concentrate more on finding good drivers.
Then, a block later at a 4-way stop sign, a woman comes flying in, blows through the stop sign, almost t-bones me, screeches on her brakes, and gives me the finger. Gives ME the finger. It was MY fault that she didn't stop.
I hate driving around here.

Bones Yeah, the left-on-green-oncoming-car-hits-the-gas thing is pretty common. It's like they feel somehow threatened or disrespected that you actually have the audacity to turn in front of them so they have to try and cut you off any way they can. 3. Cat Cat Happy Is it tailgating? That would be very annoying. |
