Why do so many people hate skateboarders?
I'd rather have these kids practicing their moves in public parks than have them doing crack in the alleys. They have a place to go, people to hang out with, and goals to accomplish. They are getting out, getting exercises, and staying out of trouble.
I say let them be! Encourage the skateboarders!
Readers have left 6 comments. 1. SullyAS long as they are not defacing anyone's property, not smashing into pedestrians, and not causing raucous, I am perfectly fine with the skateboarders. Nice post. 2. Guest UserI think people hate them when they destroy public property by treating everything with a handrail and a flat surface as a skate park.
As far as I'm concerned, if they're in a designated skate park, more power to them. 3. swessonAre there really designated skate parks in Boston? ![[smiley=wink]](http://www.unleashyouranger.com/components/com_jreactions/custom/templates/simple/smileys/smiley_wink.gif) 4. Met's LifeYou know the new park in front of the county jail (near TD Bank North Garden)? I actually find those skateboarders pretty courteous. They always make sure to stop and pick up their boards when I walk through. 5. Guest UserNashua Street Park - yeah, same experience here.
but the concrete siding has turned all black from their boards. isn't that defacing public property?
the day i see them wiping that down with wet cloth after they are done, i will support them. 6. Guest UserThe thing is once they are done with their skateboarding they are doing their crack in a back alley |
