I’d like to unleash my anger on drivers who brake even though no one else is braking.  I hate driving behind these people who can’t control their speeds.  The brake lights constantly going on and off…why do they do that?

Isn’t it quite simple?  Just keep the speed maintained with the flow of traffic.  Everyone else is, so why can’t you?  Don’t go faster than the car in front of you.  You will never be magically transported to the front.   (For that matter, don’t go slower than the car in front of you and leave room, but that’s for another rant.) 

Keep this rule of thumb…you should NOT have to brake unless the car in front of you is braking.  Please, please, remember this!  If you don’t know what I am talking about, please self-reflect for a moment, and think if you are doing this.  It might just be you, but you just never noticed.

You are wasting gas.  You are wasting your brake pads.  You are angering people behind you!  Stop!!!!

I hate this too. I always told myself that these people just can't gauge the speed as well as others. Perhaps bad depth perception. Am I giving them too much credit?

I have heard that this is because some people feel they have more control of velocity when they "brake" to adjust the speed rather than the accelerator. If you think about it, brake is more responsive than the gas pedal. Braking is immediate, however, accelerator has a slight delay. (and any car could decelerate faster than it could accelerate)

So, these people go FAST naturally, and slow down to the desired speed.

In summary, these people don't know how to drive.

Oh, lord. Don’t get me started on this topic. I just want to slow eggs at these cars who brake so often. And they always make me look bad to the car behind.

In my opinion, people who go “slower than the car in front” are much worse. I hate people who leave so much room. WTF.

hmmm... not sure about that one. What about, like, when a little kitty runs out in front of you. Are you a kitty killer?

What really pisses me off is when they are just so slow (let's say at least 20 miles below the speed limit) and the brake to go even slower. Ugh! Such slowpokes! Don't even get me started!
