They're just jealous. I am the same way. I eat ribs, tub of mayonnaise, fried bacon wrapped around hard boiled eggs...and people only wish they could.

Shall I say that the skinny people are in luck right now, because the society sees them as beautiful. That standard of beauty will shift again.. It's an inevitable cycle.

You guys are all missing the point. She cannot gain weight (try as she might) but people suggest she should. That sucks. It's like when I find my fat brother eating KFC in his closet, and I tell him, dude, why don't you go lose weight. Wait, it's exactly NOT that.

PS. Yes, I assumed the poster is a "she", because people assumed she had eating disorder. I doubt that people will have that perception over a man. (but I am sure it happenss)

Why do we have such deep comments on this site? A simple rant about bastards who has no business pointing out healthy conditions of others now turned into some deep analysis of standard of beauty.

I think people go up to you for a few reasons:

1) They have seen too much 90210/7th Heaven type shows and feel responsible to point it out. (or they'd feel guilty)

2) They are obnoxious nosy people. They don't tell fat people, because that is socially not accepted, but they do with thin people *because they can*.

3) They think they are complimenting you.

4) Backhanded way of showing that they are jealous.

5) They point out things to everyone, fat people. (kudos to them.

I think the rating on this rant is low, because ppl don't like skinny people.

Isn't the national statistics say that there are more fat people than normal or skinny people? (by health definitions). This means that this point won't be popular.

I know EXACTLY how you feel girl! I and most of my friends are slender or skinny, we pig out and we don't gain a pound. It's the way we are! Genetically speaking, I bet you have petite people on both sides of your family and you have a high metabolism. We make people jealous and because of their fat heads, they can't keep their mouths shut about it.

Personally, I'm all for playing the evil bitch in these situations. Someone sticks their nose where it doesn't belong, put them in their place. Tell that fatty to shed a few and stop being a judgemental moron! Call it... karma...
