My mother left my father and I 6+ years ago. She never paid child support, she waited just until I was 18 to legally divorce my father. She is in my life but she is not actively parenting me. She doesnt feed me, she doesnt listen or talk to me. She is racist, and bigoted. I can't stand that I dont have a better female role model in my life.
One person has commented on this article. 1. Sully From the sounds of it, you are already very mature enough to realize the entire situation. If you can look at this so holistically, I don't think you need to be looking for a role model in your mother.
